- Open your Chromebook to power it on.
- Read and accept the EULA
- Connect to your Wi-Fi:
- You should see a list of available Wi-Fi connections
- Choose your Wi-Fi SSID from the list.
- Enter your login information for your home network (We cannot provide support for your home network settings).
- Click on “Connect”, if the settings are correct you should see the menu close and activity on the Wi-Fi icon down by your clock. If you hold the mouse pointer over the Wi-Fi icon, it should read “Connected to <Your SSID>, signal strength (low, medium or high)”.
- At the “Sign in to your Chromebook” page:
- Enter your G Suite account as the email address. Your Chromebook username is the same as the beginning of your Office 365 account. (Ex: If your Office 365 account is jdoe001@stu.k12.wv.us , your username would be jdoe001 and your username for the Chromebook would be jdoe001@mariongs.com *NOTE: The @mariongs.com should already be filled in).
- Click on next and it will ask for a password. Your password is your Office 365 password. If you do not know your password, please contact your teacher for help.
- Once logged in you will click the “Get Started” link which will bring you to your desktop with the Chrome browser open. Since this is your first time logging into the Chromebook, there will be updates and apps being pushed to the device. Please give them a few minutes to install. (You will see notifications on the lower right hand of the screen as these are happening). You can browse the internet while these updates are occurring.
Your device should now be ready to use at home. We may push more apps or your teacher may instruct you to download a specific app from our App Store. Apps may only be installed from our mariongs.com App Store.
